Back in 1998, during his travels as a Sales Representative, Rick Mullen began to wonder why he had never seen a vehicle carrier designed specifically for carrying golf equipment. Over the course of the next year, he formulated the design for just such a device. In 1999, while on spring break with his family, he was amazed by the number of overloaded vehicles heading South. Many were so overloaded that there was no rear window visibility whatsoever. He noticed a common theme - golf bags and clubs.

Golfins Golf Bag Travel System Upon his return, back to Wisconsin, he began to discuss his idea with fellow golfers. It became apparent that lack of vehicle space was a major issue for many golfers; others thought it would be great to have a more convenient way to transport their golf equipment for a variety of reasons including health. In response to these discussions, improvements to the original design were made and a prototype was built. Additional improvements were made, and rigid standards for quality, versatility, durability, simplicity, security, safety and style were implemented. The Golfins^® Golf Bag Travel System (patents pending) became a reality.

From the diamond plate aluminum base (the same material that is used to make loading docks) to the linear low density polyethylene covers (the same material that is used to make pallets and children's playground equipment) Golfins^® has put the highest quality materials into every GBTS. All steel components are either zinc plated and/or E-coated, powder coat painted (which is baked on) or polyvinyl coated. Add stainless steel bolts and nylon/stainless steel locknuts, along with powder coat painting (which is baked on) on all aluminum surfaces, and our tubular camlock coupled with an ingenious three point locking mechanism for each cover, and you have an unbeatable combination of style, security and durability.

The Golfins^® GBTS attaches to virtually all vehicle hitches and will carry two golf bags, golf clubs, two pair of shoes and other accessories to destination points throughout the world stylishly, safely and securely.
